Living in New England my whole life I have never been to Vermont. Okay, once on our why home from Santa's Village in NH my mother got lost and we ended up on rte 2 for just a short time. Let's not count that.
So this fall my family is headed to VT, possibly upstate NY in the same trip and I need your help. Maybe you are from the area or have been there for a visit. My husband, my 11 y/o son, and myself are into movies, sports, history, and nature so any tips in those categories would be awesome. We are definitely hitting the Ben & Jerry's factory for some ice cream. That is a total must! What else is Vermont famous for?Teddy bears? Cheese? There must be some beautiful waterfalls or quaint little towns with unique shops. It seems like I am pointing us in the direction of Burlington, VT hoping to cross over into upstate NY as well. What about hotels or restaurants? I could really use some ideas. Let me know your favorite places. Feel free to leave a comment below or connect with me on social media and follow our journey across all fifty states. Are you on a similar journey? I'd love to hear from you. Thank you for all your help! Follow your dream and travel on. Danielle #50statesorbust

Step into the lobby of Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort and be instantly transported back in time to the 1950's. A giant palm tree stands before you while bright shades of orange, blue, and avocado engulf your soul. There are always helpful, cheery employees ready to assist. The lobby offers a front desk, concierge, car rental, and the Swizzle Lounge to relax and have a drink or two.
